KARACHI: The Provincial Chief Secretary Saiyed Ahmed Siddiqui has given green signal to official of EXPACO/Carryout sattelite Mapping of Karachi in collaboration with SUPARCO.

This, he said while reviewing developmental schemes of Karachi with special reference to Karachi Package at his office on Tuesday.

Director General EXPACO informed the meeting that initially the sattelite mapping will be performed on pilot project and later on digital mapping of the whole city will be carried out in order to improve the existing utility services in a systematic manner. He further informed that the work on Malir River flood protection scheme will be started very soon.

While presiding over an other meeting regarding Flood Protection schemes, the Chief Secretary ordered the Irrigation and Power Department to include Commissioner and concerned Deputy Commissioner (S) in the Vigilance Working Committees to avoid any lapse in the work. The Secretary Irrigation and Power department informed the meeting about the work so for completed and future strategy.

The meeting was attended besides others by Additional Chief Secretary, Planning and Development Department, Secretary Finance, D.G. KDA, M.D. KWSB and Secretary Implementation (S&GAD).
