Indian tin, lead

prices record gains

BOMBAY: Indian tin and lead prices recorded gains while other base metals held steady in narrow trade on Monday, dealers said.

"Tin added 200 rupees to 35,200 rupees per quintal on thin supplies and a shortage of ready stock," a dealer said. It was up by 400 rupees per quintal last week. Lead gained 25 rupees to 5,000 rupees per quintal on restricted supplies from state-owned agencies, he said. Copper was quiet at 15,400 rupees per quintal and so was zinc at 6,500 rupees and aluminium at 7,600 rupees per quintal.-Reuter
