Book Bazaar

KARACHI: The leading booksellers and publishers of the city home decided to hold "Book Bazaar" once in a month.

The decision came on a proposal from Hakim Said during informal chat with the participants of annual Karachi Press Club Book fair which concluded here on Sunday. Hakim Said, himself author of a large number of books travelogue etc observed that reading habit be inculcated among the people. He said that such book fairs can prove helpful in making people read books.

He expend hoped that 'book bazaar' will be organized soon and also assured of his support to this end. Earlier Hakim Said went round all the stalls set up by book sellers and publishers. The Fair which opened on March 28 was scheduled to conclude on April 3 but was later extended up to April 7 due to two days strike in the city. One of the successful book fairs organised by the Library Committee of KPC, attracted a large number of book lovers, students and children. A Wide range of books was on sale at discounted rates.-APP
