BML leaders
condemn
killings in
held Kashmir
DHAKA: Bangladesh Muslim League leaders Kazi Abdul Kader, Muhammed Ayenuddin, Kamruzzaman Khan, MA Hannan, ANM Yusuf, Nabi Chowdhury, MA Salam, Ibrahim Hossain, Attiqul Islam, CA Khan, Redwanul Dari, Kazi Abdul Khan, prof Abdul Mutaleb, Muhammad Kamaluddin, engineer Abdul Latif, Sheikh Zulfikar Ali and Bulbul Chowdhury in a joint statement on Saturday condemned killing of 21 Kashmiri humanrights activist Jalil Andrabi in India.
The BML leaders in their joint statement described the killing of Kashmiri Muslims by the Indian troops and security personnel as a gross violation of human rights and urged the UN and other international organisations to play their due role in stopping such trutal activities of the Indian authorities in Kashmir.
The BML leaders criticised the Indian government for not taking any positive step to implement UN decision taken in 1948 which recommended holding of plebicite in Kashmir to solve the issue.
Instead of holding any plebecite over the issue, the Indian authorities had planned to resort to repressive measures on the Kashmiri Muslims to silence their just demands, the BML leaders regretted.-APP
