BD taka falls
DHAKA: The Bangladesh taka closed down at 41.5950/41.5970 to the US dollar in inter-bank trade from the previous close of 41.0960/41.0990, dealers said.
Dealers said the taka fell as the central bank readjusted the local unit downwards at 41.40/41.60 to the dollar from the previous 40.90/41.10. "The market was nervous due to the central bank move. In addition, the Easter holiday in most international markets has restricted trading," said a dealer with a foreign bank.
Dealers said the inter-bank call money rate closed unchanged at 9.5-9.75 percent.-Reuter
