LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Arif Nakai said that the new Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court will be asked to appoint two judges of the court to hold accountability of corrupt politicians from 1985 to 1996.

Talking to the reporters at the first convocation of the national academy of medical sciences, Pakistan at the King Edward medical College, here, he said that the medico-legal report of the PML (N) activist Javaid Ashraf has revealed that he received pellets which were either fired by his colleagues or by the Bank guard. He added that the judicial enquiry has been ordered into the incidence which will reveal the facts behind the killing of Javaid Ashraf.

To a question, he said when he stated that the opposition is involved in bomb explosions, the incidents of bomb explosion stopped but when he stopped accusing opposition for these explosions, it started taking place again. It speaks much more than one can say about the hidden hands behind bomb explosions, he added.

Answering a question, he said that the ban on fresh recruitment will be lifted from May 1 and all new recruitment will be made on merit.-APP
