BHIMBER, (Azad Kashmir): The AJK Minister for Youth, Sports and Cultural Affairs Arshad Mahmud Ghazi has resigned, and the PPI has learnt through reliable sources that the decision to resign from the post was taken at a meeting of the workers of the ruling party, the Muslim Conference.

The resignation was sent to the AJK Prime Minister which Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan, leader of the ruling party, the AJK Muslim Conference, is reported to have accepted.

It may be recalled that Arshad Mahmud Ghazi had defeated Barrister Sultan Mahmud Chaudhri, the AJK Peoples Party President, after contesting the elections on the Muslim Conference ticket from his native area in Mirpur city and had been appointed as the Minister for Youth Affairs, Sports and Culture.

Asked about the reasons for his resigning, Arshad Mahmud Ghazi said he would hold a press conference in a couple of days and would apprise about reasons for submitting resignation.

His reply has confirmed news about his resignation.-PPI
