recovery of

water tax

KARACH: The Deputy Managing Director (Revenue),

KWSB, Syed Akhlaq Hussain, has asked the deputy directors taxes

to meet the target of recovery of taxes of the current fiscal year.

Chairing an emergency meeting of Tax officials here on Sunday

he asked them to carry out surveys of their respective areas and make

entries of under-construction or completed buildings.

He told them to ensure that all water consumers were

despatched water bills with outstanding dues.

Akhlaq also appealed to water consumers that they had

been sent water bills and in case anyone had not yet received the

same, he should contect the Deputy Director Tax of his area.

He said that a campaign would be launched after May 1 against

defaulters which would include disconnection,

confiscation/auction of property and issuance of warrant.

The M.D. Revenue said it would be in the consumer's own

interest to cooperate with KWSB in its tax recovery campaign.
