JAKARTA: Indonesian rubber prices were generally unchanged in slow late trading on Monday despite gains in Tokyo, dealers said. Dealers said prices remained on offer at 58.75-59.50 U.S. cents in Medan and at 58.50-59.00 cents in Palembang, Padang and Jambi.
It was on offer at 58.00-58.50 cents in Pontianak and Surabaya, they said.
"It's a typical quiet Monday trading, with few enquiries heard despite gains in Tokyo," one dealer said.-Reuter
Dealers said reports that the new International Natural Rubber Agreement (INRA) would be signed by July 31 did not have much impact on market sentiment.
There was no follow-up heard to reports that Chinese buyers were heard enquiring for some 1,000 tonnes of SIR20 late last week, dealers said.
