CHAKWAL: Chief Minister Punjab Arif Nakai has said the Government will construct Kalabagh Dam to fulfil the irrigation requirements an d strengthen the agriculture economy of the country.

He said this while addressing as chief guest on the occasion of Jashan-e-Chakwal on Thursday.

Punjab Minister for Labour Ghulam Abbas, Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Nawab Sher Wasair, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab Ch. Khadim Hussain, MPAs Rana Suhail Khan Noon and Haji Afzal Chun, Divisional Organizer PML(J) Rawalpindi Div. Malik Allah Yar Khan, Sardar Aftab Akbar, local office-bearers of PDF coalition parties, workers and large number of people were present on the occasion besides officers of the district administration.

Nakai said the construction of Kalabagh Dam was imperative for the stability of Pakistan because in case it was not built the agricultural economy of the country would be badly damaged.

The Chief Minister further said the period of doing politics through slogans had ended and time arrived for taking practical steps to fulfil the commitment.

Referring to the achievements of PDF Government in Punjab, the Chief Minister said that a number of uplift projects had been started in Punjab during last eight months and all resources were being utilised for the welfare of the common man.-APP
