LAHORE: A heavy bomb blast at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital led to sluggish sentiments at Lahore Stocks where, out of total 269 scrips, 150 lost values, 98 gained a little and 24 companies maintained last level, broker said.

At close, LSE-101 index was at 520.53 points as against 519.59 of Thursday, showing a marginal difference of 0.94 points. "There were mixed trend in the market, but the moment news regarding bomb blast at Shaukat Khanum Hospital reached, equities started losing, and many of the potential buyers preferred to stay on side-lines", a broker said.

On Sunday main gainer was Lever Brothers which clinched a rise of Rs 7, while PSO was the major looser with a dip of Rs 5.

Total business of the day was 8.2145 million shares as against 8.7123 million of Thursday. PTC, which is the market leader, shed 10 paisa on the news that the government wanted to raise $200 million loan on PTC foreign receivables security.
