Kashmir issue

KARACHI: Naib Amir Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Maulana Jan Mohammad Abbasi has strongly criticised foreign Minister Sardar Aseff offer to India for talks on Kashmir issue according to Simla Accord.

In a statement here on Saturday, he said Kashmir issue should be resolved according to United Nation resolutions which was Pakistan's stand since last 50 years.

He said, in prevailing circumstances when several countries including Pakistan were protesting against atrocities committed by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir, foreign minister is supporting Indian point of views. This is not only against the decided principles but also contradicting Pakistan long standing point of view, he added, saying that nation would never allow this.

He said, "foreign minister's statement that there was no secret accord made with India is also notable, "what is the need to clarify it", he asked.

He said government intention also exposed its other steps taken like to control religious institutions to overcome religious power in the country. This was just to please its American masters and alleged that this plan will also be foiled and nation would hold accountable present government for all of this.-PPI
