KARACHI: Senior Vice President PML(N) Muhammad Ejaz-ul-Haq said here on Friday that the League will not accept any election under the supervision of present election commissioner because he was acting in a partisan manner.

Talking to newsmen at a lunch hosted here by PML(N) MNA Haleem Siddiqui, he said that preparation of totally new voters list was a violation of the law because the normal way is to update the existing list.

The lunch was also attended by PML(N) President, Sindh, Syed Ghous Ali Shah, Engineer Shah Mir, Sardar Rahim, Fayyaz Shaikh, Jamshed Ahmed Khan, Mushahidullah, Aleem Adil Shaikh, acting president PML Women Wing, Sindh, Dr. Sultana Ibrahim, president Women Wing Karachi division Begum Mumtaz Qureshi, finance secretary Naila Ashraf, MNA Ejaz Shafi and a large number of PML leaders and workers.

Ejaz said that fresh voters list was only prepared when a census is held. He said that there were widespread complaints about non-inclusion of genuine voters while a large number of bogus voters had been included in order to help the PPP government rig the election. He said that PML totally rejects the new voters list.

Answering a question he said that the prime minister had recently tried to induct a pro-PPP general as the vice chief of army staff.

He said that this conspiracy was foiled by a firm rejection by the army high command to interfere in the army cadres to promote political interests.

He also said that the prime minister was dragging her feet in implementing the recent judgement of the Supreme Court which could create a judicial crisis in the country. He hoped that the judiciary will play its due role in rejecting politically motivated interference in its affairs.

Ejaz-ul-Haq later left for Hyderabad in a PML procession to address a public meeting there for which arrangements have been made by PML MNA from Hyderabad Shabbir Ansari.-PPI
