KARACHI: Services of two teachers have been hired to impart secondary education to the 3 inmates of remand home, at a certified institution.

These two teachers have been arranged with the assistance and cooperation of philanthropist/owner of Quetta Textiles, Khalid Iqbal.

This facility has paved the way for 3 inmates to appear in the S.S.C. Part-1 Examination of Karachi Board in this year.

The remand home and certified school is situated at Nazimabad No.4 running under the administrative control of Reclamation and Probation Wing, Home Department, Government of Sindh.

The purpose of the school is to uplift child offenders' personality so as to make them a successful and law-abiding citizens.

The inmates are provided basic primary, religious education and vocational training during their stay in the institution. For the vocational training, there are tailoring and carpentor sections have been setup.-PPI
