Improvement on Euro
cotton markets
LIVERPOOL: Mill demand for raw cotton in Europe showed no sign of improving, industry sources said.
Asking rates for most upland styles continued to fluctuate narrowly and a fairly poor sales outlook for yarn and textiles deterred most buyers from anticipating additional requirements.
Light business was noted for central Asian and African "franc zone" descriptions in Portugal, Italy and Germany, and a little interest was recorded in extra long staple varieties in Switzerland. Eastern European markets remained devoid of new features.
