editor shot dead

KARACHI: A banker-cum-journalist was shot dead by unknown armed assailants in Dastagir in the jurisdiction of Joharabad police station on Saturday night.

According to details Zafar Iqbal, an employee of ABL, FTC Branch and an editor of weekly Nawa-e-Bankar , tonight was going on his car when he reach near railway crossing, Dastagir unknown armed persons riding on motor-cycle opened fire on him, as a result he died on the spot. Later his body was removed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital by Edhi ambulance.

The armed assailants managed to escape from the scene.-PPI
