Leghari to open

3rd

corporate RTC

ISLAMABAD: President Farooq Ahmed Khan Leghari will inaugurate the 3rd roundtable conference of Pakistan which is being organized by the Economist Conferences on October 16, 1995 at Islamabad.

The conference is being organized by the Economist Conferences, a subsidiary of the Economist Group in association with Mediators (Pvt) Ltd the country's leading public affairs consultancy. It will enable top local and foreign corporate executives to discuss their aspirations and concerns with the government planners and policy-makers.

The three-day roundtable to be held on October 15-17 is also likely to be addressed by Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, Shahid Hassan Khan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Economic Affairs, Mohibullah Shah Secretary Board of Investment, V A Jafarey Adviser to the Prime Minister, Dr Mohammad Waseem, Political Analyst, I A Rehman, Director HRCP, Dr Mohammad Yaqub, Governor State Bank of Pakistan, Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, Federal Minister for Commerce, Anwar Saifullah Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources, Ghulam Mustafa Khar, Minister for Water and Power, Naveed Qamar Chairman Privatisation Commission.

The roundtable is expected to be participated by about 100 foreign and local corporate decision makers from the fields of banking, finance, industries and business.

The Economist Conferences roundtables are being organized since 1956 in various countries and have become a regular feature in recent years in the fst developing countries of Asia providing an independent forum for discussing investments and business opportunities and potentials. Economics Intelligence Unit has organized, until now, 150 such conferences around the world.-PPI
