KARACHI: The second Lyari Complaint Centre which has been established to improve complaint attendance service in the area will start full-fledge functioning from Wednesday, a KESC spokesman announced here on Tuesday.

The new complaint centre located at Nishter Road near Risala Police Station was inaugurated by Lyari MNA Waja Karim Dad last week. After it's establishment various areas have also been bifurcated and allocated to the respective complaint centre.

Following are the areas which will be covered by these two complaint centres:

Areas under Lyari Moosa Lane complaint centre:

Moosa Lane area, Baghdadi and Kalri area, Nayabab, Karachi Karimjee Road, Khaddad area, Daryabad-New Fida Hussain Shekha Road, Shah Baig Lane, Slaughter House Road area, Sihar Colony, Agra Taj Colony, Hingorabad, Mohammadi Colony, Gul Mohammad Lane area, Phoolpatti Lane, Ali Mohammad Mahalla, Umer Lane, Saeedabad, Meeran-Naka, Singo Lane, New and Old Kumarwara, Rexer Lane, Jumman Shah Plot, Eidgah Lane, Kala Kot area.

Areas under Lyari-II Risala complaint centre:

All West Wharf area, Kharadar area and Mithadar area, Old Town area Sarafa Bazar area, Jodia Bazar area, Marriot Road, Densohall area, areas between James Terrace Road and Bambridge Road behind Risala Centre, Shimpura, Jinnabad 1 and 2, Old Haji Camp area, Newa Lane area, BakrapiriUsmanabad, Gizri Nagar, Dhobighat 1 and 2, Hasan Laskari Village and some area of Ghulam Hussain Qasim road and Garden West.

Accordingly the consumers have been advised to contact their respective complaint centres.

The KESC spokesman has expressed the hope that with the establishment of a new complaint centre the consumer service will considerably improve bringing about overall improvement in the attendance of power failure complaints.-APP
