Traders said aluminium was likely to find good buying interest on any significant downside moves tomorrow.

Support for aluminium was pegged at $1,910, and if this level is breached prices could slip towards $1,859.

Aluminium was last trading at $1,917, against $1,940.

Nickel eased from an earlier high of $9,140 as market operators became reluctant to hold higher levels in the wake of copper's fall.

Trading in lead and zinc remained fairly quiet.

Lead settled at $637, down $6, while zinc was last at $1,034, a loss of $5.
