session finalized

ISLAMABAD: All arrangements have been finalized for holding the 18th session of the National Assembly at the Parliament House from August-13, official sources said.

Earlier before start of the session at five p.m. on Sunday (August 13) the parliamentary groups of the PDF and the PML (N) and its allies will meet separately to chalk out their strategy for participation in the National Assembly session.

Besides usual question hour, privilege and adjournment motions, call attention notices, the House will also concentrate on legislative business.

The assembly secretariate sources said that the agenda is likely to be finalized in next couple of days.

The National Assembly Speaker Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani is currently in his home town in Multan and is expected to return here by August-13 t0 chair the National Assembly session.

The opposition will mostly concentrate on Karachi situation and the deadlock in the Government-MQM talks, and the devastating floods.-PPI
