SHIKARPUR: A tea and ghee distributor was robbed and killed by two bandits here on Sunday night on Garhi Yasin Road near Shama Petrol Pump one km from here.

Mohammad Farooq Khan Awan the area distributor of Lever Brothers for Ratodero was seriously injured with Pistol and deprived of his cash of Rs 60,000 by two unidentified men while travelling in a passenger bus from Ratodero to Shikarpur.

The bandits had followed the distributor and travelled in the same bus from Rato Dero. When the bus reached near Shikarpur, the culprits over powered him, snatched away the bag of money and fled away. Another passenger Syed Shahabuddin Shah of Garhi Yasin also received bullet injury when armed men fired on the bus.

The injured were rushed to civil hospital Shikarpur for medical treatment where injured Mohammad Farooq Awan succumbed to injuries, while the other injured Shahabuddin Shah was discharged after giving him medical treatment.

Stuart Gung police has registered the case, and informed the relatives of the deceased living in village Ugi district Monsehra Frontier about the incident.-APP
