bid for breaking
deadlock
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, N. D. Khan who is also head of the government team, left here for Karachi to explore the possibility of breaking the deadlock in the Government-MQM peace talks.
Informed sources said that N. D. Khan, during his visit, himself look into the situation arising out the ban on the MQM negotiator, Shoaib Bokhari to leave for London as his name is on the exit control list (ECL). Authorities in Karachi had denied to let Bokhari fly to London as his name is on the ECL.
MQM wants to send Bokhari to London for consultations with Altaf Hussain to seek his guidence in wake of the new development.
N. D. Khan while addressing a press conference yesterday told a questioner that the federal government may allow Bokhari to leave for London.
The deadlock in the talks emerge when the MQM team did not turn up in the Federal Capital to attend the sixth round of talk on July 31 on the question of calling them MQM Altaf Group.-PPI
