Game wardens
recover, release
38 falcons
LAHORE: Special squad of Chief Game Warden, Punjab in a crack down against smuggling of precious birds has recovered 39 falcons but five officials of the squad received injuries when their car overturned while chasing the smugglers who could not be captured.
Chief Game Warden, Muhammad Latif Wattoo will free these falcons tomorrow in a ceremony.
According to details Maqsood Ahmad, Muhammad Amin and Orangzeb belonging to Fort Abbas were openly involved in the smuggling of rare birds. The accused, who were equipped with sophisticated weapons and Jeeps, formed their own force to enlarge their activities in Cholistan desert, by hunting birds of various species.
Chief Game Warden has announced a cash prize of rupees one thousand for each member of the raiding party.-APP
