KARACHI: Seven people were killed and several others injured in different incidnets of firing and torture in the city on Saturday.

The bodies of two unidentified young men were found lying on Allah Wala Road, Orangi Town Sector 11 1/2. Both the bodies bore marks of torture and bullets. They were removed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

An other dead body was found lying near Ali Bhai School, Orangi Town, Sector 1-C. Police sources said that the unidentified victim was kidnapped, tortured and the shot dead. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital by Edhi ambulance.

Yet another unidentified body of a 26-year-old youth was found near Tasvir Mahal Cinema in Korangi. The body was kept at Edhi mortuary for identification.

Balam Khan, 35, was injured in sniper firing in Landhi near Gul Ahmed Market. He was admitted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Amir Hussain sustained injuries in sniper firing in Rifah-i-Aam Society. He was admitted to the JPMC.

Khalid Hussain was killed and Khurram was injured in different incidents of firing in Liaquatabad. The dead and the injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Two unidentified men were killed in different firing incidents in Landhi and Saeedabad areas.

Five armed men barged into a house in Shah Latif Town and took away Rs 5 lakh at gun point.

Rangers and police cordoned off a big area in Korangi No 1 to 5 and started house to house search for the recovery of illegal arms and arrest of criminals.

Rangers and police sealed off all exist and entry points before the search and asked the residents to stay at home. Those who came out of their houses to go their offices were turned back.

Reports said that the law enforcement agencies detained over 100 people during the house-to-house-search.

The law enforcing agencies were also searching vehicles on Super Highway, National Highway and RCD Highways.

The police arrested Ziauddin, Nasir and Jamil and recovered one Kalashnikov and two TT pistols, after an encounter with them near North Circular Avenue, Phase 1, in Defence Society.
