30 drowned in
Bay of Bengal
BARISAL, (Bangladesh): Thirty-two people were feared drowned when three Bangladesh trawlers sank in a storm in the Bay of Bengal, police said on Saturday.
The police said the fishing vessels went down on Thursday and their crews were now presumed dead.
It was the second disaster at sea in two weeks. On July 22, 14 boats with 148 crew sank in the bay when caught in a storm.
"Only one person out of the 148 could reach the shore," a police officer said.-Reuter
