5 injured
in city

KARACHI: Five persons were killed and five others injured in acts of terrorism and incidents of firing in various parts of the city on Friday, according to police and hospital sources.
Two persons were killed in District Central and one each in Districts South, West and East.
In District Central 23-year-old Mohammad Imran, son of Abdul Ghafoor was killed by terrorists in the jurisdiction of Khawaja Ajmer Nagri Police Station. The other deceased, a 21 or 22-year-old boy whose body was found in the jurisdiction of Azizabad Police Station remained unidentified.
Body of one Bashir alias Shera was found from Garden Police Station area. He was first kidnapped by terrorists who tortured him and later shot dead. The unknown terrorists put his body in a sack and threw it on a street.
In another case a Police Constable Mohammad Munir (22) was injured in firing in the same police station's jurisdiction whereas one Baboo (35) was injured in firing in Chakiwara and S.M. Aamir son of Nasir Zaidi was injured in Gizri Police Station area.
In District East one Rao Kaleem son of Rao Abdul Qadeer (30-35) was killed by terrorists in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Police's jurisdiction where one Chaudhry Shafquat was also injured by firing.
Another body of a 27-year-old boy was found from Orangi. The body of the deceased who remained unidentified bore torture and bullet marks.
One child Asif son of Hameed (5) was also injured in firing by unknown persons in Peerabad area.
Meanwhile, a wagon (JE-0916) of Route X-3 was torched in Baldia Town by unknown persons.-APP
