LAHORE: Officers Association of State Cement Corrporation has sought President and Prime Minister's help for reinstation of over 70 employees and excutive who have been forced to retire.
In a press statement the State Cement Officers Welfare Association said on Wednesday that since the new chairman of the corporation assumed his duty he has sacked 70 persons under 'voluntary retirement scheme.' It said despite the stay order from Lahore High Court the chairman does not budge.
The association said that the State Cement chairman has created an atmosphere of fear and harassment in the corporation, due to which employees are deeply concerned over their future.
The association said out of ten of its office-bearers eight have been victimised under the voluntary retirement scheme. They included P.R. Khan president, Khalid Joyia, general secretery, Khalid Javed Chaudhary SVP, Qazi Ashraf, finance secretery, Obaid-ur-Rehman etc.
The association applead the President and Prime Minister to look into their case and help reinstate 70 retired officials on their jobs.
