Think Tank

KARACHI: The Governor of Sindh, Kamaluddin Azfar has said that the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi University should act as a think-tank and advise the government for solving different socio-economic problems in the country.

During his visit to the IBA main campus on Sunday, he said that the IBA can advise the government on problems like structural unemployment in Karachi, development of university curricula in line with market needs and improvement in the system of examinations at different levels of education.

The governor, who is also the patron of the IBA appreciated the high standards of academic excellence attained by the IBA and emphasised the need for instituting a large number of fellowships which would enable meritorious students, who are not well off, from different parts of the province.

He met with the IBA students during his visit, reviewed the academic and research programmes and future development projects of the IBA. He also inspected different facilities provided to the students and faculty of the IBA.
