KARACHI: Plastic mouldings conceded further losses on Jodia Bazar on Saturday while jute goods made slight recovery over losses in the previous week.

"Movement has been slow" traders said, citing long spell of disturbed conditions in the country as the cause.

Changes were also marked in powdered milk, Kirana, dry fruits and paper. Teas and dyes maintained overnight level.

PLASTIC MOULDINGS has been on the downward course for the past several weeks as government maintained import duty by 65 percent on commercial importers while it fixed only 30 pc for the industrial consumers, HDPE film Tipelin conceded 75 paisa, Mobil and Korea also shed the some amount, HDPE injection Ladene shed 20 paisa, Thai lost-50 paisa, escorene gave in 60 paisa, but Mobil gained ten paisa, HDPE blow Tipelin climbed down by 50 paisa, Dilene by 25 paisa, Russian depreciated by 50 paisa, LLDPE Korea Ladene shed 30 paisa, escorene lost 35 paisa, polypropylene film grade Tepelin shed 50 paisa, Amoco lost 40 paisa, injection grade Yuplene gave in 50 paisa, Hungary scored 10 paisa gain but Saudia shed five paisa, polystyrene GP solarine conceded Rs 100, Basf Rs 50, Polar Star Rs 70, Korea Rs 80, Pakistani Rs 175 and Lucky conceded Rs 90, PVC formaton lost Re one and Korea lost 40 paisa.

POWDERED MILK in a couple of changes scored modest gain, said to be due to rise in dollar's value. Kimmed Alpha gained Rs 40 and Farmer Jack was higher by Rs 24.

CHEMICALS were lower while dyes stayed put. Formic acid Germany gave in 70 paisa, citric acid China canceded Rs 1.25 and sodium sulphide China turned lower by Rs 2.20.

JUTE GOODS recouped some of the losses sustained in the past few weeks. Jute goods twine CRT, Indus, 16x3 PJCL, Crescent 8x3 climbed up by Re one and 40x2 Mehran brown rose by Rs 1.50.

Kirana and dry fruits were firmer. White pepper Singapore gave in Rs 25, Ceylon's lost Rs 50, black pepper up Rs 325, mace quoted at Rs 8000, cloves up Rs 25, Isbaghol ki Bhoosi up Rs 200, tamarind up Rs 10, apricot-I at Rs 1850, chilghoze and roasted up Rs 25 each.

KRAFT PAPER imported from Tenjing 30 35"x47" up Rs 80 and 3027.5"x39.5" higher by Rs 60.
