KARACHI: A 16-member Korean economic mission, led by Park, Se-Yong, President of Hyundai Corporation will fly into Karachi on August 27 a four-day visit.

The delegation will attend the 6th joint meeting of Pakistan-Korea/Korea-Pakistan Economic Cooperation Committees scheduled for August 28 at Pearl Continental Hotel besides visiting Export Promotion Bureau, Export Processing Zone and Port Qasim, says an FPCCI press release.

Other Korean companies represented in the delegation include Daewoo Corporation, Hyundai Heavy Industries Co Ltd, Hanwha Corporation, LG Corporation, Korea Electric Power Corporation and CHO Hung Bank Co Ltd. Their main business lines are general trading of plants, transportation equipments, machinery, electronics & electronic equipment, resource development and investment financing services, power plant construction, petro chemicals, semi conductors, oil-refinery, telecommunications, autoparts, engineering, construction & developments, plastics and banking.

The leader of Korean delegation Park, Se-Yong, alongwith few delegates will visit Islamabad on Aug 29 and meet Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, Minister for Commerce, Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar and Chairman, Board of Investment.

FPCCI which is playing host to the Korean delegation has arranged individual business meetings with the Korean delegation between 3.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. At Federation House, Karachi on August 28. Interested Pakistani entrepreneurs may contact FPCCI urgently to fix appointments with their Korean counterparts.
