Liverpool cotton
market report
LIVERPOOL, (England): Slightly easier international shipment values for most upland cotton failed to stimulate buying interest in Europe, industry sources said.
This was despite the gradual resumption of mill activity in some markets after the summer holidays.
The underlying disparity between raw material replacement prices and those obtainable for yarn dampened activity.
Italy, Portugal and Belgium saw limited interest in Central Asian and US descriptions, but elsewhere no sales of any significance were reported.-Reuter
