MULTAN: Speaker National Assembly Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani visited the District Jail and met with the two detained MNAs there.

The Speaker remained there for 75 minutes and discussed various matters with the detained MNAs, Haji Boota and Tahir Rasheed during the meeting.

The Speaker during a briefing to the newsmen after his conclusion of meeting with the MNAs told that Tahir Rasheed has informed him regarding his ill-health while Haji Boota gave details about cases against him.

Answering a question regarding the provision facilities to the detained MNAs he said that at present there was hardly any matter discussed pertaining to the provision of facilities to them.

He said "they have demanded nothing from me", as I being the Speaker of the House on fully apprised of their problems. He said on his return to Islamabad he would present a comprehensive report to the Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto regarding his meeting. He said he was taking along the medical reports of Tahir Rasheed and would discuss the matter with the concerned quarters.-APP
