KARACHI: Shaukat A. Kazmi, President Allied Bank of Pakistan Ltd. inaugurated tree plantation campaign at Pabbi in NWFP. He along with his Board of Directors and local dignitories planted saplings of fast growing trees.

While speaking on the occasion he said that Allied Bank is very actively involved in the Environmental Protection Programme and has accorded top priority to the guidelines issued in this regard by the Government of Pakistan. He said that Allied Bank is putting concerted efforts for the success of the government endeavours to make Pakistan green and clean.

He hosted a dinner in honour of the local business community which was attended by local industrialists, executives of government corporations and members of National Assembly.

Speaking on the occasion he said that Allied Bank will provide fresh credit line to the people of Northern Areas to meet their needs of industrial finances and he shall leave no stone unturned for the industrialisation of NWFP. He further pointed out that Allied Bank has chalked out an exhaustive plan to revive sick industrial units.

President Allied Bank, S. Jauhar Husain SEVP/Director M. Saleem Sheikh, SEVP/Director I.A. Usmani, and Ashfaq Qureshi Provincial Chief, NWPF had discussions with local chamber of commerce and industry to assess and provide for credit needs of the local business community.
