KARACHI: Ajmal Dehalvi leader of MQM negotiating team said here on Wednesday night that his team would lay full emphasis on the solution of hardcore problems confronted by Muhajirs, during the forthcoming meeting with the government.

Ajmal Dehalvi, who is also an eminent journalist, confirmed that the government had fixed August 29 for the next round of meeting with the MQM.

He, however, said a meeting of the MQM Coordination Committee would be held on Friday to consider the proposed date and after discussion confirm it or suggest adjustments keeping in view the team members' previous engagements.

Ajmal Dehalvi disclose that the government team had been insisting on restoration of peace first before the legitimate rights and privileges contained in the 18-point demands could be taken up for consideration.

Ajmal Dehalvi, however, made it clear that if the government team is reluctant to take positive steps for consideration and concedes the MQM's legitimate demands, the possibility of a break down of talks could not be ruled out.-PPI
