formulation
RECORDER REPORT
LAHORE: The new syllabus for the courses of secretarial training should be formulated in consultation with the business community. It was suggested by Rehmatullah Javed, Covener, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Standing Committee on Infrastructure while addressing a seminar organized by the German Technical Training Centre on "syllabus of the secretarial trades." Ms. Christiane Wauschkuhn, Advisor Secretarial Trades and Ms. Aasma Naureen, Principal of German Technical Training Centre for Women also addressed the seminar.
Rehmatullah Javed said that there was a vast room for new entrants of the trained professionals of secretarial trades in the private sector and the problem of unemployment could be reduced by preparing more skilled secretaries. However, he emphasized that the business community must be consulted to know their current requirements in this regard.
Rehmatullah Javed further said that new technical training centres should be set up near rural areas to spread technical training amongst the jobless rural youth.
Ms. Christiane Wauschkuhn, Advisor Secretarial Trades of the TTC in her address, appreciated the services rendered by Rehmatullah Javed for creating awareness on the signifiance of the technical training amongst the business community.
