SINGAPORE: Asian dollar deposits were little changed in lacklustre trade with most traders sidelined on lack of fresh incentives, dealers said.

"The market was a little bit softer in the morning on some position adjustments. There's no fresh news or (U.S.) economic indicators coming tonight and most people are sitting on the sidelines," a local dealer said.

"Some people are waiting for possible market direction from Thursday's durable goods and existing homes data," he said.

In day-to-day rates, Wednesday/Thursday slipped 1/8 percentage point to 5-3/4 5-5/8 percent.

Thursday/Friday eased 1/16 percentage point to 5-13/16 5-11/16 and week-fixed eased 1/16 point to 5-7/8 5-3/4 percent.

Among longer dates, one- and three-months were unchanged from Tuesday's common 6 5-7/8 percent, respectively.

Nine-months eased 1/16 point to 6 5-7/8 but twelve-months was unchanged at 6-1/8 6 percent.-Reuter
