CBOT soybeans narrowly mixed at midsession

CHICAGO: CBOT soybean futures were narrowly mixed at midsession in quiet conditions.

Dealers said the market was just treading water with news scarce. They noted weather in key growing states such as Iowa was expected to warm up over the weekend but not enough to cause any significant concern about crop development.

"The weather will not be hot enough to do any damage (to either corn or soybean crops)," Vic Lespinasse of Dean Witter Reynolds said.

At 1150 CDT Nov soybeans stood 1/2 cent down at $6.07-3/4 per bushel with other months one cent down to one up.-Reuter
