FPCCI demands
removal of
controversial IT
form clauses
ISLAMABAD: S.M. Muneer, President FPCCI has appealed to the government to withdraw all the objectionable clauses of the new income tax return forms to maintain harmonious government-business relations.
In a statement issued to the press, he welcomed that the government has withdrawn most of the clauses from the new income tax return forms and only three clauses namely mobile telephone expenses, education fee of children if over Rs. 500 and expenses on foreign trips have been retained.
"Although these three clauses do not affect the small traders, it will be better if the government defers them for at least one year. In view of above facts it is too early to talk of strike," he said and assured the small traders that FPCCI will continue to protect their interests.-APP
