Benazir leaves

for Kazakhstan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto will leave here Wednesday on official visits to Kazakhstan and Kyrghzstan.

She is going on three-day visit to Kazakhstan from Aug, 23 on the invitation of President Nur Sultan Nazarbayev.

Later, she would proceed to Kyrghzstan for an official visit from August 25 to 27 to participate in the MANAS celebrations for which she has been invited by President of Kyrghzstan Askar Akayev.

The following agreements are expected to be signed during Prime Minister's visit to Kazakhstan.

(i) Convention on Avoidance of Double taxation

(ii) Agreement on Reciprocal Promotion and protection of Investment

(iii) Memorandum of Understanding on Issuance of Visas

(iv) Agreement on Mutual Assistance in Civil, Domestic, Criminal Cases.

(v) Agreement on Matters of Mutual Visits of Citizens.-APP
