Leghari condoles

Lund's death

NOORABAD: President Sardar Farooq Ahmed Khan Leghari on Monday visited village Noorabad some 120 km from Sukkur to condole the death of MNA Sardar Mohammad Khan Lund, who died on Aug 14.

The President was accompanied by Sindh Governor Kamal Azfar. Earlier, he visited Khanghar (Ghotki) and condoled the death of MNA Sardar Ghulam Mohammad Khan Maher, who expired April last .

The President flew into Sukkur at 0935 a.m. from Islamabad. On arrival, he was received by Sindh Governor Kamal Azfar and then flew to Noorabad from Khan Garh in a helicopter.

From Noorabad helipad, the President drove to the residence of late Sardar Lund and offered condolence to his brother chief Sardar Dadan Khan Lund and his elder son Khalid Khan Lund.

The President also discussed with Khalid Khan Lund matters about the holding of bye-election on the vacant seat. MPA Ghulam Qadir Bhutto was also present on this occasion.

Later, a delegation of Leghari tribe called on the President and apprised him about the local problems. Sardar Nadir Khan Leghari presented a memorandum to the President in this reagrd.

The President assured the delegation that he would take up the problems with the Sindh Chief Minister soon.-APP
