IDA to finalize

6 projects worth

$360m in 1995

ISLAMABAD: The International Development Association is expected to finalize the cases of six projects worth $360 million during 1995.

Officials in the economic affairs division say that action will start on these projects soon and the IDA is likely to agree with the project proposals. At the preliminary level, the IDA has indicated to provide $360 million for the projects.

The projects include: NWFP Community Infrastructure ($29 million), Population Welfare Project ($65 million), NWFP Primary Education Project ($150 million), Balochistan Community Irrigation and Agriculture Project ($34 million) and Forest Sector Development Project.

During the previous year, the IDA has approved a creditline of $290.1 million for four projects.
