KARACHI: Three including two police constables were killed and several others including a police head constable and a constable, were injured in different incident of firing in the city on Monday.

Alam Shah and Naim Akhtar, both police constables, were killed and Shafi, head constable, and Salim, Constable, were injured in targetted firing in Khawaja Ajmair Nagri.

Latif, Aslam and Akhtar were injured in another firing incident in Khawaja Ajmair Nagri.

The body of a young man was found lying in Farid Colony, Orangi Town. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Edhi volunteers found the dead body of a 100 years old was lying in Jodia Bazar. The body was shifted to Edhi Tower Center.

A 12 year old girl was crushed to dead under the wheels of a water tanker near Finance and Trade Centre. Her body was shifted to JPMC.

Wajid Raza and Kashif were injured in sniper firing in Gulzar-e-Hijri area. Shair Dil and Ziarat Gul were injured in a firing near Sabzi Mandi. Wahid Zamir sustained bullet injuries in Gulbahar. Dildar Ahmed was injured in Nazimabad.

Three armed men barged into World Autos in Ferozabad and took away Rs.2.3 lakh on gun point.

Some miscreants torched a mini bus of Route Z-A near Qaddafi Chowk, Orangi Town.

The law enforcing agencies once again launched a major operation for the recovery of arms and arrest of criminals in Lines Area and adjoining localities.

The agencies sealed all the exit and entry points of the area at about 4.30 a.m. This is the fourth time in the last few months that the search operation has been launched in the area.

Heavy contingents of law-enforcing agencies started house to house search and detained over 200 youngsters for investigation.
