Poor response to

sick mill body's

call for

information

HYDERABAD: Out of 108 sick industrial units in Sindh only four units have furnished the requisite information sought by the Chairman Sick Mills Committee Sindh Yousuf Ali Bhatti who is also the President of the Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

It may be pointed out here that the Sick Mills Committee was appointed by the Sindh Government to find out ways and means to revive the sick units.

In furtherence of this objective, a questionaire was issued by the Chairman of the committee on August 9 seeking relevant information from 108 sick units but so far only four units have furnished the requisite information.

Atleast seven letters have been returned to the Chairman as the same could not be delivered at the given addresses.

According to the Industries Department which has furnished the list of sick industries to the Chairman of Committee, were located in Hyderabad, 28 in Nooriabad, 14 in Gharo and Dhabejee and 27 in Kotri.

It seems that the owners of the sick units appear least interested in the revival of their industrial units.
