ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Education is holding a three-day conference on "Education Promotion in Pakistan," here in November to review flaws in the educational system and study ways to increase the literacy rate in the country.

Eminent educationists from all over the country will participate.

The conference will consider prospects of increasing the literacy rate in the country from the present 27.3 percent to 73 percent by the end of this 8th Five-Year Plan.

The experts will also make recommendations for the promotion of scientific and technological education to meet the national requirements.-PPI
