Benazir to visit
Kazakstan,
Kyrghystan from
Wednesday
ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto will pay official visit to Kazakhstan and Kyrghystan from August 23-27.
Informed sources told PPI that the prime minister would first reach Kazakhstan on August 23 on a two-day visit and hold talks with the Kazakh leadership on bilateral, regional and international issues.
During her meetings with Kazakh President Nursultan Narzarbayev and Prme Minister Akezhan Kazhegeldin, Benazir Bhutto would brief them about the situation in the Indian occupied Kashmir with particular reference to the incessant human rights violations in the valley.
The sources said that Benazir Bhutto would discuss ways and means to further strengthening a fruitful cooperation with Kazakhstan in economic, trade, commercial, scientific and technical fields adding that few agreements in this respect are also likely to be signed during her visit.
Referring to Pakistan's policy of having a free access to Central Asian, market the sources said that keeping in view this policy, the trade issues would dominate the talks between Pakistani and Kazakh leadership.
From Kazakhstan, the Prime Minister would fly into Kyrghystan on August 25 for a three day visit.
During the visit, the prime minister would hold talks with Kryrghys President Askar Akayev and Prime Minister Apas Dzhumagulov and reiterate the cordial and deep-rooted friendly relations between the two countries.
The sources said that Benazir Bhutto would seek to enhance mutually benficial cooperation with this important country of Central Asia in all areas of economic activities.
She would also apprise the Kryrghys leadership about Kashmir situation while matters pertaining to the latest development on other issues including Bosnian problem and Afghan crisis would also come under discussion.-PPI
