KARACHI: Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) has arrested three persons' including one alleged terrorist Mumtaz Alias Munna and recovered weapons from their custody, police spokesman said here on Sunday.

According to details, a CIA team, on reports conducted a raid in Khokrapar, Malir and nabbed Mumtaz, who during the interrogation, confessed that he killed seven persons, including a constable Ejaz in the city. CIA also recovered one 7 MM rifle, on 0.22 rifle, four stolen TV sets and two VCRs from his custody.

He said that in the jurisdiction of Khokrapar Police Station, he killed four persons' including Raisuddin, Mohammad Abbass, Babar and Constable Ejaz.

He also confessed that he had killed Pappu Dakait in Malir and Warsi and Tahir in Saudabad police station jurisdiction. Police had already registered FIRs of these murders.

CIA also arrested one Altaf Ahmed Alias Pappu on the pointation of Mumtaz and recovered one TT pistol. CIA claimed that both the terrorists belonged to Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan.

In another attempt, CIA arrested Jamil Ahmed s/o Abdul Ghani from Nabi Bux Thana jurisdictions. CIA claimed that the culprit was a coordination secretary of MQM (A) and was allegedly involved in setting ablaze a bus of route 52-A on Nishtar Road on June 23, 1995. Police had registered a FIR in this incident on June 24, 1995.-APP
