Jordan tomorrow

AMMAN: The head of the U.N. Special Commission (UNSCOM) disarming Iraq under the 1991 Gulf War ceasefire will arrive in Amman on Monday to meet a top Iraqi defector, a Jordanian official said on Saturday.

Rolf Ekeus, now in Baghdad, will meet Lieutenant-General Hussein Kamel Hassan, the architect of Iraq's advanced weapons programmes, who escaped to Jordan on August 8 with his brother and their wives, both daughters of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, the official said.-Reuter
