condemn Afridi's

remarks on

killing in Bara

ISLAMABAD: The members of the National Assembly from Federally Administered Areas have condemned the statement, made by MNA Mohammad Shah Afridi from Khyber Agency, in which he had termed the killing of 17 persons in Bara any ordinary happening.

In a joint statement the Fata MNAs called the statement of Mohammad Shah on the floor of the National Assembly here on Friday, as insulting one and tantamount to and slap in the face of tribal people. Instead of properly pleading the case of innocent people killed or injured by FC firing in Bara Mohammad Shah termed the killing of innocent people as ordinary incident, they said.

They further said "we strongly denounce the statement and express our solidarity with the people of Khyber Agency".

If Mohammad Shah's own brother or any close relative would have been killed in the firing then he would not have made such an irresponsible statement, they added.-PPI
