DERA GHAZI KHAN: An industrial estate will be set up here shortly and 250 acres of land has been earmarked on Sakhi Sarwar road for the purpose.

This was disclosed by Chairman Social Action Board Dera Ghazi Khan Sardar Jamal Khan Leghari while addressing at a dinner hosted by Azhar Saqib President People Traders Association. He said that industrial estate will extend full help for the eradication of unemployment in the area and establishment of small industries will be encouraged.

He also disclosed that President of Pakistan has provided Rs three crore for the development of the city and the development work in the city is in full swing. He further said that all development projects will be completed in the record period of one year.

He added that present government has also started the comprehensive projects of villages electrification, road construction and supply of drinking water in rural and tribal areas.

He said that Dera Ghazi Khan will be developed and brought at par with other developed areas of the country.

On this occasion Deputy Commissioner Dera Ghazi Khan Shahid Ullah Baig told that 70 percent encroachment of the city has been demolished and this campaign will be continued in next month till the demolishing of all encroachments.

He announced all affected shopkeepers will be allotted alternate places for business. He said a committee has been constituted which will determine the deserving shopkeepers.

He said that city park will be converted into beautiful park.

President of Pakistan has especially provided Rs 50 lakh for this park. Moreover a sum of Rs ten lakh will also be spent for the improvement of Behari Park. He said that Buffalo colony will be set up in Dera Ghazi Khan and all Bufalloes in city will be shifted to the colony. He further said that health and education facilities are also being provided in far-flung areas of the district and mobile hospital is also working in the tribal areas.-APP
