Add The Rupee

The rupee depicted a depressed trend against the other currencies at the foreign currency exchange counter here on Thursday.

The rupee opened at its overnight closing of Rs. 32.53, lost five paisa in terms of US dollar during the day and closed at Rs. 32.58.

The rupee lost 20 paisa and 30 paisa respectively against the sterling, and deutschmark.

In kerb trading the rupee lost two more paisa in terms of US dollar. Closing was recorded at Rs. 32.60, dealers said.
